The importance of stimming

September 10, 2016 by Henny Kupferstein, Ph.D.

One of the things I do with my students is teach them the importance of stimming, and why they need it for self regulation. Rather than silencing their god-given abilities to organize, I encourage it. This kid says it like it is!

“If it’s too 🐕💩 turn it down.” Note to self for July holiday sound pollution. Yes, that dog is wearing #redcrocs. A very dear friend invited me to their wedding. This will be my first wedding outside of my previous life, which was a domestic trafficking arrangement inside a religious cult. You can read about my lawsuit by googling my name. I have no idea how to conduct myself at such a wedding and I am accepting public opinion on what I should know for an average hippie wedding in Northern California in July that is two 50-year-olds who are neurodivergent who are both getting married for the first time. I met this friend through a Disability Support Group. We have a lot in common, including our due days. Might be question if I bring a cool wedding gift will it be part of the affair or is it with bad taste to request the present be opened in public? Again, be kind because I know nothing. Subject: Request for Video Surveillance Equipment Under Texas Education Code §29.022 SAN DIEGO, CA ALERT: Silvia Lopez and her four daughters became part of my synagogue community and developed relationships of trust within that religious environment. They later became my IHSS caregivers and Regional Center service providers, positions that provided access to vulnerable disabled adults, including me. Congrats, Tony!! #letthemeatcake aliyah Michelle Fortner was 23 years old. Autism therapy? What is it? Who pays for it? Trust: We trusted the institution. Planted some treasures in the garden today. A gift from @flyingmonkeytotes
